Mommy's New 'Do

I know I've been stringing my Facebook friends along this afternoon, but I really wanted to reveal my new haircut on the blog, which is not nearly as fast as a quick FB upload from my phone. Sorry!

First, a before shot. I had to go back to April 15th to find a picture of me with my hair even sort of down. Two reasons for that. First, I'm the one that takes pictures in our house. So there aren't many of me to begin with. Second, my hair has been in a ponytail literally every day since Bryce was born (April 23rd - 3 months tomorrow!). That's part of the reason I wanted to get it all chopped off. So that I wouldn't be able to simply resort to a ponytail every day. Because history shows that if I can, I will.

Anyway, here's the picture from the last time my hair was (even halfway) down. I think it's also the last picture of my very pregnant belly, front and center. And it was clearly taken by a munchkin, since I'm looking down at the camera...

This next picture was taken today with my phone (obviously, excuse the poor quality) through the mirror at the salon. In the middle of the chopping.

And, finally, here's my new look! So far, I love it! But that's easy for me to say, since I haven't yet had to style it myself... But it feels so light - I just keep shaking my head and realizing how odd it is to not have a ponytail swinging around back there.

So far, Dale has seen the new look, as have my parents and Carla, my sister-in-law (via Skype). One of the first things all four of them said was that I look like Sarah (my sister). I'll take that as a compliment! I can't wait for the girls to see it. Ivie's opinion is an important one to me these days, and I can already hear Macie saying, "Mommy, I LOVE your hay-yer" (in two syllables, like only she can)! Bryce might start crying, wondering who the heck is trying to pretend to be his mommy.

So... What do you all think?!? Be honest. Unless you don't like it. Then lie.

Amy I think your new 'Do" is very cute. My hair is in a stack bob like yours. And I love it being this short because sometimes if you have to you can just wash it and go.
